The relatives of teens unaccounted for after a tragic inferno at a venue in a Switzerland's ski resort are enduring an painful period of uncertainty for answers and pleading for clues about their loved ones via social media.

The inferno engulfed the a popular bar in the alpine resort, located in the Swiss Alps of the Valais region, in the small hours of New Year's Day. Circulated video show the roof structure igniting as bottles with fireworks are held aloft.

Authorities have warned that it could take days if not weeks to identify the those who perished of the fire, which claimed the lives of 40 people and wounded another 119. Authorities said on Friday that 113 of the injured have been accounted for, with efforts ongoing to identify the remaining few.

In the waiting period, families and friends have been using online platforms to appeal for any news about their friends who were in attendance that fateful night.

Desperate Searches for the Missing

The location of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, sixteen, are not yet determined, according to an appeal from his family.

Additional Missing Individuals

Giovanni Tamburi, sixteen, is also unaccounted for. His mother explained that he had been on holiday but had ventured out with friends and found himself at the bar.

"Someone with him informed me they fled after the fire broke out and that he had his mobile with him, but then at a certain point he couldn't see him anymore," she recounted, adding he had been wearing a identifiable piece of jewelry.

One of his educators stated, "I remember his kindness and smile, combined with great maturity. Every time offer to help out."

Alice Kallergis, who holds dual Swiss and Greek citizenship but lives full-time in Switzerland, was also present on New Year's Eve, according to media.
