Plane Transporting US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Because of Fracture in Windshield

A plane carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday after a crack was identified in the plane's windshield, as stated by an official statement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.

"The aircraft landed following standard protocol and all individuals on the flight, including Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson stated in a social media post.

He was traveling back from a quick journey to the Belgian capital at the time.

This event is not the first time that a American defense plane carrying a top government figure has encountered equipment failures.

In a previous incident this year, a US Air Force plane transporting the US Secretary of State to Munich was required to head back to Washington DC after suffering a mechanical fault.
